Meet your Chapter Chair:
Ken Cole
When he is not in a suit for work helping large employers manage healthcare costs, Ken is your typical weekend warrior. He is a native of Greenville and began climbing in 2009. It began with getting caught in an early season blizzard while backpacking the Grand Tetons. Being at elevation and in the snow captured his alpine interest. The following two years Ken climbed Mount Rainier twice with RMI Guides, and pursued rock and ice climbing to build experience for unguided trips. His first rock climb was Second Coming, and the hook was set. Climbing has become an integral part of his lifestyle. Ken incorpates climbing concepts into his marriage with Chrystie, community with friends and family and church, and principals of risk management with his client. Being part of the AAC is a way for him to help connect climbers and education, so that the local climbing community is vibrant and safer together.
