Robert Lavarnway -
Chapter Chair
Originally from Charlotte, NC, Robert has been climbing for nearly 20 years. His adventures began in the mountain and single pitch crags of North Carolina but soon expanded to New York, South Dakota, Colorado, Oregon, and California, including Yosemite Valley. Robert enjoys working with youth and sharing the outdoors with them. He believes strongly in working together as a team and has many years of experience facilitating corporate team building.
Robert now calls the Lowcountry home and he currently works as the Climbing Program Coordinator for Charleston County Parks. He is a certified Wilderness First Responder and American Mountain Guides Association Single Pitch Instructor.
