Jay Bishop - Chapter Chair
Jay grew up in southern Pennsylvania where in high school he discovered his love of climbing. After high school, Jay joined the U.S. Army and served five years on active duty and another four with the Massachusetts Army National Guard.
A federal employee by day, Jay spends most of his early mornings, evenings and weekends either climbing, hiking, camping or getting together with friends to play some board games or gearing up for his next big adventure.
Currently Jay lives just outside of Arlington, VA with his fiancée Pauline and their dog, Lucy. Previously Jay ran the climbing program for Team Red White and Blue’s DC Chapter and currently sits on the Executive Committee for the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club – Mountaineering Section.
