Sarah Reinstien - Chapter Co-Chair

Sarah began climbing one LA sunny day in April of 2019. She was a regular at her local gyms, until she discovered climbing outdoors. Now you can find her following her friends up Jtree cracks, or leading some sport routes at New Jack City. She's been in LA for almost 9 years and is just now scratching the surface of all the amazing climbing California has to offer! When not waking up super early to go climbing, you can probably find Sarah at a Pho restaurant, playing Elden Ring or baking some bread.

Eva Bonta - Chapter Co-Chair

Eva first started climbing in 2020 while living in Knoxville, TN. She had visited a climbing gym a few times before, but it was not until she lived a 50-minute drive away from the beautiful Obed Wild and Scenic River natural area that she developed a love for climbing and the climbing community. Now based in Los Angeles, she can often be found exploring new crags and outdoor areas across Southern California with her boyfriend, Geoff, and pup, Obie. When not climbing, you can find Eva enjoying the outdoors hiking and backpacking or at the beach. She also loves cooking and trying new foods, traveling, and urban exploring.

Katie Mayo AAC Communications Chair

Katie Mayo - Communications Chair

Katie started climbing at Earth Treks Crystal City at the end of 2018 with some friends she met via parkour. After her first time, she was hooked, but living in DC without a car made her primarily a gym climber. In 2021, she moved to LA for grad school (go trojans!) and started climbing outside regularly. Bouldering was her first love, but now she dabbles with a bit of everything. If you’ve met her, she has likely mentioned that her favorite place to climb is Bishop, CA. Her current climbing goals include spreading the stoke, getting swole, and getting starlink for her car.

Geoff Glinn - Chapter Treasurer

Geoff first got into climbing upon graduating college. Originally spending most of his time in the gym, he quickly transitioned to climbing outdoors in PA, upstate NY, and the southeast. He joined the AAC upon moving out to Los Angeles as a way to meet fellow climbers and since then has gotten to climb in awesome places with even cooler people. His favorite places to climb include Joshua Tree, Red Rocks, and the Obed.
