Riley Kane - Secretary

I grew up in Clovis, CA reading and playing sports. I didn’t discover rocks until I went to New Hampshire for college, where I developed into a conscientious outdoorsman. With the help of fostering outdoor clubs, I became an E.M.T., led adventure trips, managed the climbing gym, supervised the Freshman orientation climbing program, taught a climbing P.E. class, and attained A.M.G.A. certification.

I value the outdoor education I received, and desire to improve the quantity and quality of outdoor educational opportunities. In the coming years, I hope to focus on community engagement and retention, stewardship, and education.

Matt Schutz - Stewardship Chair

I've lived and climbed in the Fresno area for most of my life. Although I've also climbed all over the world I have not found a better spot with as much quality accessible rock. We truly are a rock paradise. My buddies and I spend time developing new cliffs and it ends up being a lot of work. Many of the trails to our crags have grown over, the fixed anchors have aged, and fires have affected the landscape profoundly. With a little teamwork we can keep our local areas accessible by maintaining trails, safe to climb by replacing hardware, and enjoyed forever by fostering community.

Drew Wood - Social Chair

I was born and raised on the east side of Fresno County against the foothills. Running around the mountains, fly fishing, and hunting has always been a way of life, but it wasn't until 2019 that I started rock climbing. I have been hooked ever since.
