Barry is a climbing instructor and guide from Hackettstown, New Jersey. He has been climbing since 1979, concentrating his time in many eastern crags and mountains, from Baxter State Park in Maine to Seneca Rocks in West Virginia. Barry is an alpinist at heart, though he spends most of his time rock climbing near his home in New Jersey. His home crags are Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area and New Jersey’s Allamuchy Mountain State Park. Barry hosts an annual American Alpine Club top-rope social and Oktoberfest celebration at Allamuchy each fall and he organizes several outings to Delaware Water Gap as well. Barry is passionate about building AAC activity and leadership in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware.
