Informed Consent/Waiver

All volunteer chairs, and any volunteer who work with minors in AAC programs, must undergo a background check. The AAC uses Sterling Volunteers to administer these background checks which only summarize publicly available information. Volunteers must read the disclaimer in full prior to submitting their information to Sterling Volunteers. Questions can be sent to operations@americanalpineclub.org.

Informed consent / waivers are required for all participants and volunteers attending AAC events and activities where they are exposed to hazardous behavior or conditions, and are good for 12 months from date of signing. Read and follow the instructions found in the linked document (direct link to event generating form here).

Update: ANYONE attending or hosting an AAC event MUST fill out a waiver. A waiver must be filled out once every calendar year.
