I pretty much grew up on a pair of skis on the icy slopes of New England. Thanks to those roots, I have always considered myself a skier first and a climber second. But as my ambition has grown over the years, so has my appetite for bigger and bigger mountains. Thanks to a few key mentors and educators, I eventually developed the knowledge, skills, and confidence to make the alpinist’s pilgrimage to the Alaska Range. Since that first trip in 2017, I continue to make the trek to Alaska in the spring. Otherwise, it's a juggling act between geology, construction, wrenching on bikes, and coaching high school cross country.
